Americans with Disabilities Act- Signed into law in 1990, this is the "civil rights act" for the disabled. The ADA requires public services and buildings to make reasonable accommodations to allow access to persons with disabilities.  The ADA will come into play for civic events like access to movie theatres, daycare centers, etc.   The ADA is also the prevailing legislation to ensure access when your child attends college.  There are
