While we do not typically link off-site, this technology is beyond the scope of expertise of the eden staff.  In addition, the editor has some personal biases regarding cochlear implants that would make it inappropriate for him to author content on this topic.

As this technology has developed, we have found that Kay Powell's Listen-Up website  has done an excellent job of presenting unbiased and accurate information on this often controversial subject.  While you are there, please spend some time exploring the rest of her site which is one of the best and brightest in the web.
